With an amp with some effects,should I buy a effects pedal/multi-effect pedal?
I have a Line 6 Spider III amp,which has some effects and distortion on some settings(see GC for info)

My amp has a record-out plug,so the multi-effect pedal's recording is not exactly necessary.
By the way,I'm asking since I'm a 8 month,self-taught, student.Also,money is a limiter,again,as I'm a student.
So im guessing you are into grunge. Cool, me too. I would get a deeper depth of guitar experience/ knowledge before you start recording, and then buy yourself a nice amp, the older he better, or if you want to buy new, get some kind of Fender re issue or a Savage (Savages are boutique, Hand Wired in USA, and they sound like pre 80's Marshalls, they are great amps) Don't get a "Grunge" pedal, they are not how any Grunge musicians would have done it, instead get a fuzz face, or a couple of tube screamers and maby a Cry Baby wah (McCready uses these, they are a very popular pedal) Don't get a multi effect pedal, they are a bunch of dumbed down effects. Boss is a good pedal, but there are better. If you insist on recording you might want to get a compression pedal. I just picked up an MXR compression pedal, and I love it. Good luck. BTW when it come to music equipment, price shouldn't matter, if you know you can't afford it, but really want it, then save up, because you don't want to be stuck with a bunch of shitty gear.
