I need to know where to get the Wiring Diagram for a 1997 Ford CD stereo and factory Amp.?
The Stereo and Amp are from a 1997 Ford Thunderbird. I am trying to place it in my 1996 Ford Wind star minivan. The problem I am having is that the new stereo is from a premium package and the van's stereo is the older cassette player with 4 speakers. I need a Wiring Diagram or at the very least a chart Identifying which wires coming out of the Amp go to which speaker.
I've got a wiring diagram - colours that would be shown on the connector plugging into the head unit of the Ford '97 Thunderbird as :-

However, this may be of no help to you - unless they are the same colours of wires coming out of the amp.- assuming you've still got a plug / harness cut coming out of the amp.
The amp will have a model number, and I'd suggest googling that to see if there is any pin configurations data.
If you've still got wires attached to this amp - and you can identify them as pairs - then the quickest trick is to make adjustments to the balance and forward/rear output controls on the head unit to identify the correct positions.
