Can you run an esp ltd mh-1000 guitar through an ampeg bass amp?
I was going to buy the esp, but i was wondering if you could run it through an ampeg cab with a treynor head. i forgot how many watts those are but it's pretty big. anyways, i was just wondering how it would all sound, would it sound metal? oh and i was going to run it through the digitech multi effects pedal that they made for guitar not long ago. ok well just please tell me how all this would sound.
oh and i'm a bassist as well, so that's why i have to do the thing about the amp. cause i can't afford another one right now.
You could run your guitar through a bass amp with no damage (basses damage guitar amps, not the other way around), but I wouldn't really recommend it - it won't sound very good. You'll be sacrificing too much high-end and treble response. I don't think it will sound very "metal." Some guitarists prefer the sound of guitar through a bass amp, but these are mostly Blues players who like a clean sound more than a distorted one. So, I'd suggest you look for a guitar amp.
Hope you find what you're looking for.
Cheers! =)
