Is this a Good laptop?
It is my first laptop and i want to make a good choice.
I am pushing for dell and i wanted to know if this i a smart pick.
These are the specs:

Just Wondering... What does Microsoft Works include
And is it a good choice? I am looking for something that will take me 4-6 years. I am in Grade 8 now and will mostly be using my laptop for Research, surfing the web, writing on word.

For what you are getting this is a pretty good laptop.
I am assuming this is a Dell of course.
Ok so, 3GB of RAM is good for Vista but 4GB would make Vista run a lot smoother.
250GB hard drive is a lot of space which will last you that 4-6 years. But this depends on if you will be downloading music, movies, DOC files, pictures, and other things.
The Dell Wirelss N card is the highest grade internet card around right now, so your set on that.
The only thing is that is only runs 2.0GHz. If you could I would recommend getting 2.2GHz or higher for your processor.
If your are in 8th grade, I don't think you will EVER need Microsoft Works. Microsoft Works consists of things like Word but for business uses.
Oh, and one other thing, how much does this laptop cost?
And if you wanted to wait a few more months Windows 7 will be released which will be a WAY better that Vista. For that amount of money you are getting a good deal. I had my Dell laptop for 7 years already.
