If I store my Electric Guitar for 3 years without playing it or tuning it, will it be fine?
My guitar is an Eko S-300 Stratocaster. I bought it this year in June.
It came with a Peavey amplifier. I have a guitar soft case. Not the hard type. I am leaving my country and not coming back for 3 years. I am unable to bring my guitar and amplifier with me. I am planning to store the guitar and amplifier in a cupboard that will locked up and not opened for 3 years. Will my guitar and amplifier be alright? Or will the guitar start to spoil and the amplifier not work anymore?
As long as the closet isn't dusty or have bugs, the guitar should be fine, but it will be majorly out of tune. When you're done tuning, I recommend playing Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day. The amplifier will most likely be fine, but there is a slight chance it could be damaged.
