can you use a factory stereo for a custom sound system?
What i am trying to say is that if i can put an amplifier and two 10 inch SUBWOOFERS with a truck's original (stock) stereo. If it's possible, can you please tell me how to do it.
you can buy a high to low audio converter($15-30) at your local car audio shop to get an rca signal. and it will work fine. benefits of buying an aftermarket radio are, you will have more control over your system, and better sound quality. now a high-low for subs does not sound bad generally they provide more voltage to the amp then a aftermarket stereo would but you do lose some sound quality in the conversion, that you probably wont even notice in lower sub frequencies.
