How do i hook up 2 four ohm dual voice coil subs to a single channel mono amp to get 2 ohms?
I will be running 2 kicker vr dual voice coil 4 ohm 12 inch subs.The amp that I will use is a zx 750.1 mono amp stable at 2 ohms. I would like to run the amp at 2 ohms with these 2 four ohm dual voice coil subs. A diagram would reallt help me out.
With just two 4 ohms DVC subs, you can wire them @ 1 or 4 ohms, like this:

To get the amp to operate @ 2 ohms you'll need 2 more sub wired like this:

But take in account that adding more susb will decrease the power output per sub. Check the power rating of each sub and the power in rms per channel of the amp.
