Hot rod my Fender Blues Deluxe Amp?
At 40 watts, this amp is so loud that I can't get it up past 3 in volume. If I replace the 8 0hm speaker with a 16 ohm, won't that give more push-back (resistance) and warm up the tubes a little more?
I know how to operate the master volume. I'm looking for technical advice on doubling speaker resistance.
Why not turn the master volume down? that will limit the output, and also get the amp to overdrive earlier.
Both guitarits in my band use teses amp, and they will easily go from a whisper (ish) to a roar with no trouble
