Is the Fender Frontman 10G 10W Guitar Combo Amp any good?
I need an amplifier for my guitar and i'm on a budget and 60 was the highest i'll go for this one. It looks pretty good. Several sound options. 10 Watts. It's a fender. To me it looks really great but i'd like a second oppionion from either some one who has it or an experience guitar player. If it's no good anyone got any suggestions for any really good amps under 60$. Please Answer! Thanks!

I did some poking around, and I agree that this is definitely the best amp in the price range. For the speaker size you get a larger speaker for the money. I actually saw a lead in a band who would use an older version of this amp as his only stage amp. It looked real funny on stage, and he had to mic it through the PA, but it had the sound he wanted.
For most of us though, this would be a nice bedroom or dorm-room sized practice amp. And the headphones out is a big plus for practicing, which means in a pinch, you could run this into a computer or mixer without a line converter.
For my tastes, if you can squeeze it, I favor at least a 10" speaker. Those amps are twice the price, but can really take some abuse. If you are in a band you can use it as an emergency amp, or run vocals though it during practice, or even run bass through it if you are desperate enough for a last minute jam.
With todays economy you should be able to get a decent 10" amp at a pawn shop for below your budget.
But overall, this is definitely worth it - if only for the headphone jack, and larger amps rarely have headphone jacks.
