Fender Hot Rod Deluxe problem!??!?
The drive channel on my hot Rod Deluxe is broken. When I turn it from clean to drive (including more drive also), there is just a horrible, terrible, awefull, wreched sound comming out. It's very loud and sounds like the speakers will bust if I dont turn in off immediately. Does anyone know what the problem could be? The clean channel works just fine, but I do feel as if it could sound a little better than it does currently. BTW the tubes are pretty new. Did I just bust the channel? Is that possible? Any suggestions would be really appeciated. Also, any suggestions on how to get really great tone out of this thing? SRV sound. I have a MIM strat w/ texas specials thrown into it.
Defective pre-amp. Bring it to the shop. Their is a recall on that amp if I'm ot mistaken.
