New guitar amp Line 6 spider or Peavy vypyr?
I have a 15watt crate but I'm getting tired of the 2 sounds it gives me so I'm looking to upgrade. I have my eyes on a peavey vypyr and a
Line 6 Spider IV they are both 30 watts but there are mixed reviews about both of them. So I'm looking for a completely unbiased review for both these amps and a recommendation for which one I should get for practicing.
Thanks
For practicing either would be fine. I have played both and to me the Peavey sounds a little better. They are very very close though. Not sure how long you've been playing, but for another $100 you can get the Line 6 Spider Jam which includes some great practice tools. You have hundreds of full jam tracks to play lead over, hundreds of drum grooves to practice rhythm over, the ability to record and stack guitar parts. A balanced XLR input for adding vocals to your recordings as well as a second 1/4" input for adding bass of keyboard. Definitely worth considering. Also it's 75 watts so it is enough for gigging out as well.
