How do you get a guitar tone like Billie Joe Armstrong? (Newer Green Day)?
I have an Traynor YCV50 Blue Tube Amp, a Boss ME-70 multi-effects pedal, and I like to play using my beautiful Epiphone Les Paul Custom. As a Green Day fan, I've always been curious on how to achieve that amazing guitar tone Billy has had since American Idiot, but I've had a great amount of difficulty on setting up my equipment to sound that way. Can anyone fellow musicians out there help me out, give any tips or just straight up recommend direct amp/pedal settings (specific numbers of gain, treble, mid, etc)? I appreciate any and all help!
same problem here,
I just can“t get it right!
