Tube amp vs Solid State Amp Question?
Would an 80 watt solid state amp be louder than a 65 watt tube amp?
Sound Better with drums in practice?
My problem with loudness is that i need it to be able to get over drums during practice, i know you can mic your amp, And i''ve heard Tube amps sound louder that Solid State.
From the amps I've played, I've always preferred tubes. Alot of the solids I've played tend to detiorate in sound quality as it gets louder. Amps such as line 6, crate.
My point? Dont buy an amp based on loudness. just my 2 cents.
